Diplomatic Priorities
Peace Agreement Implementation
Advocating for the full and faithful implementation of the Revitalised Agreement on the Resolution of the Conflict in South Sudan (R-ARCSS) by all parties, with robust international monitoring and accountability mechanisms.
Regional Engagement
Working closely with the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), the African Union, and neighbouring states to sustain the peace process and address cross-border humanitarian and security challenges.
International Advocacy
Engaging the United Nations, the European Union, the United States, and other international partners to maintain political pressure for accountability, democratic reform, and the protection of civilians in South Sudan.
Humanitarian Access
Calling on the international community to ensure unimpeded humanitarian access to all affected populations and to increase support for the millions of South Sudanese displaced by conflict and food insecurity.
Diaspora Relations
Maintaining close ties with South Sudanese diaspora communities around the world, who play a vital role in advocating for peace and democratic governance and in supporting their families and communities at home.
Transitional Justice
Pressing for the establishment of the Hybrid Court for South Sudan and other transitional justice mechanisms provided for in the R-ARCSS, to ensure accountability for atrocity crimes and support national reconciliation.

Departing Tokyo comes with a deep sense of reluctance, largely owing to the extraordinary warmth and hospitality extended by the Japanese people throughout this maiden visit. A special note of gratitude goes to Naoko and the entire organizing team behind Asian Gathering 2026, whose flawless execution ensured the event was an overwhelming success.
Among the key highlights was the privilege of engaging with State Minister for Foreign Affairs Mrs. Kunimitsu — whose humility and dedication to public service were strikingly apparent — as well as attending members of the House of Representatives of the National Diet, underscoring the shared commitment to international cooperation.
